Our vision is guided by the principles of phect-NEPAL a secular, non-political, not-for-profit organization dedicated to health development since 1991. Governed by an independent Executive Board and supported by experts from diverse fields, we strive to provide inclusive, ethical, and community-focused healthcare, in alignment with the values outlined in the phect construction.

KMH established as a small community referral hospital with 18 beds

1993

KMH expanded to 50 beds with additional services

1995

Establishment of Kathmandu Model Hospital School of Oral Health

2000

Kathmandu Model Hospital School of Nursing established

2005

Kathmandu Model Hospital launched Medical Internship Program

2005

Kathmandu Model Hospital launched Telemedicine Program

2007

Introduction of Postgraduate Training Program in KMH

Healthcare Services

Public health services

By encouraging wellness, preventing disease, and facilitating prompt diagnoses through screening initiatives, the public health division seeks to improve public health. Active participation in programs like violence against women and health days celebrations. Conduct health camps and health awareness classes in the community.

Academic affairs and development

Kathmandu Model Hospital Institute of Health Science (KMH-IHS) trains skilled, ethical medical professionals. It offers undergraduate electives for foreigners, internships for Nepali students, postgraduate programs, staff training, CPD courses, and medical research through the Institutional Review Committee (IRC) and the Journal of Phect.

Networking and alliance building

KMH-IHS collaborates closely with various government bodies at different levels in Nepal and forms partnerships with international development agencies, donor organizations, local NGOs, CBOs, and CSOs. These connections have been instrumental in supporting KMHIHS in achieving its objectives and fulfilling its mission.
